BSU shut down the #1 offense in the the country last night, our fans showed up 2-1 over TCU.....and we won the fucking game. Anything but a #2 end-of-season ranking would be a travesty. Nobody in the country, especially the SEC,  will take us up on our "we'll travel anywhere" offer...they would prefer the typical 7-8 powder puff games they normally play each year as opposed to taking on a quality opponent.

I'll give TCU this, their cheerleaders/dance squad put our homely bitches to shame. Other than that, pure dominance.

Got to give it to them they way they play in bowl games. They play to win and usually execute their 'specials' play package to perfection. The fake punt to set up the winning score was a thing of beauty last night. 

It's too bad that they can't play the winner of Texas - Bama or even Florida in some kind of consolation game after way they destroyed the other higher ranked undefeated team from a non-BCS conference.

Some day there will be a playoff and people will look back at this and wonder how the fuck the people in charge managed to keep all these great matchups from materializing.

Ya...you will have 2 undefeated tams at the end of this season, how can you not put them up against each other for a real championship game? Other than the proverbial "strength of schedule" how can you honestly say either Tex, or Bama, or BSU is the best team in the country?

With polls, you can never "honestly" say who the best team is. You can only say who you think the better team probably is but if you have two teams with similar records there is no way to be 100% sure unless they play each other. On top of that, polls eliminate any chance for Cinderella teams to capture the title like we have seen in every major sport.

Leave it in the hands of human voters and there never would have been any Namath Super Bowl guaranty of victory or any Jimmy Valvano NC State championship or any 69 Mets. Some of the greatest moments in sports would be wiped out in favor of a paper champion that most people can agree on. How fucking stupid is that? As if the favored team wins every week.

There's no telling if Utah could have been a Cinderella last year or Boise St this year if they just been given the chance to play for the championship. Both would have been heavy underdogs to the SEC or Big 12 powerhouse undefeated team and one loss team last year but that is exactly what makes for a good Cinderella story.
