Why is this even a story? Only the most hardcore head in ass baseball fans were in denial as to the obvious facts. At least the guy didnt lie to Congress about it like the others.

All his records should be erased or have asterisks and he should not even be a thought for the hall of fame unless they make a new one for athletes who used steroids and HGH.

Meh, stats will never be erased, or asterisked....MLB turned a blind eye to that shit for over a decade. I am glad he just plain shut his piehole in front of congress, unlike Palmeiro. He never denied anything, just chose not to talk about it.

His race with Sosa is one of my most exciting baseball memories, and you can be sure that most of the pitchers they faced were probably juiced too.

I still don't get why the whole "oh em gee the athletes are using steroids call Congress" thing even goes on. Really, I'm probably just dense (shut up Ratty) but I fail to see why a special session of congress needs to be convened to interview some muscle bound juicehead. Kick him off whatever team, don't let him in the hall of fame, and tell him to buy a bar or a used car lot.

Or send him to jail, like you would if you found that shit on a "regular" person.

The reason why Congress was involved is because they gave MLB an exemption to anti-trust laws.  Many felt they weren't handling the steroid issue well and needed a "come to Jesus" meeting.

I'm not so down on pro athletes as a whole or the major sports entities.  But there are a lot I wouldn't piss on if they were on fire.
