Not being a septic I dont really care but I would say that his support by fanny mae et all, his support for the policies that helped bring about the financial crisis, hi oposition to the surge in Irag all ask questions about his judgement. As does interfereing in the arrest of the professor, turning up in Copenhagen as the hoax begins to unravel also leave question marks.
I hope he does well, he will need health care reform to fail to acheive that but he isn't a total ignoramus.

I don't care if a president is born rich or poor. It makes no difference when you look at the policies of the men elected to that office. In fact, every president up til Andrew Jackson was of land-owning patrician stock, and if they (plus Alexander Hamilton) were not acting in the country's best interest, we wouldn't be a country any more.
Everyone loves a rags-to-riches story in the US, and this somehow gives a guy from humble beginnings an edge in all media-generated storylines -- except, in this current climate when a humble-beginnings guy is named Lloyd Blankfein, who gets pilloried for doing his job well.
Anyway, it's interesting right now watching how many Congressional reps are bowing out of mid-term races. Both sides, too.
