And regardless as to what you may think, it's not an 'if they can do it, so can I' situation. That's total bullshit, and you know it. The world doesn't work like that. Just because you draw breath, that doesn't give you the right to perpetuate racism and hatred.

Whites have been using that word for over 100 years as an insult, as derogatory, and as demeaning. THEREFORE, as a white person, it is UP TO YOU to stop perpetuating things, and to show some respect to the people who are hurt by the word. Have some consideration for THEM.

Oddly enough, 'cunt' was an accepted word way-back-when (much like the word 'nigger'), so much so that it was quite common for streets to have the word 'cunt' buried in the names. Google "Gropecunt Lane".

With your above post, you made my point for me..I'm sure I'm repeating myself, but here it is again...the word was acceptable once upon a time. it's not anymore. If the blacks in your country enjoy having you call them 'nigger', have at it. That shit won't fly in the vast majority of the free world. And I hope beyond everything that if you have children, you will not encourage them to use the word. If you want to be an ignorant racist, that's your choice as an adult. But please don't draw innocent children into your twisted web.

When you walk down the street, and you see a black coming towards you, do you shout "HI, NIGGER!!!" ? I doubt it very much. So, in your opinion, when is using that word appropriate? If Jesus or whatever Holy Being  you follow was found at the Pearly Gates to be black as night, would you walk up to Him and say "whaddup, my nigga?" Doubt it. 

For those of us who are living in a somewhat more civilized country, with somewhat more updated mindsets...we know better than to call a person that word, based on 'nigger' being historically demeaning, derogatory, and NEVER has that word been used as a compliment.

So go ahead and throw the blanket of 'no censorship for me!' and use that as an excuse to perpetuate racism. Or better yet....go to your local market, and poll 100 blacks, and ask them their opinion of the word, and then ask them if it's okay for you to call them a nigger.

oh....and you don't know if the word 'cunt' was NEVER acceptable where you are from...unless you were around in the 1200's when the word was 'invented'. It was accepted, used commonly, and not considered to be vulgar until much, much later. Kind of like the word 'nigger'...once accepted as the norm, and part of everyday speech...but now we know better (at least MOST of us know better).

I use the word niggardly for shock value alone since it has no relation in definition to "nigger". The looks people give you when they hear it run the range from "what did he just say?" to "oh no you din't". Maybe around 1% of the population know the meaning and word origin. A niggardly amount to say the least.

Indeed, he did. His spelling of 'queynte' has, over the years, morphed. The other guy, Dunbar, from the 1500's, wrote it outright as cuntbittin..a pretty freakin' funny name for crotch rot

thanks..I was hoping that if I could provide her with some tangible old-time uses of the word, she might see for herself that it was a commonly accepted word. But alas...my efforts to educate her are wasted, I fear. I believe that I've given up..there's just no talking sense to some people.

you need to start thinking globally instead of internally on some issues... that will give you a more realistic and balanced view of the human condition.... talk to more people, foreign ones...

I can personally tell a culture from the way they treat animals...if cultures treat animals with respect then that filters through societies....if they don't treat animals well, they don't treat women and children well either....its really that simple..

Yes, my dear, we gave up the literal witch hunts, with burnings at the stake, hanging people for being suspected of witchcraft, et al, many centuries ago. Do some people still harp that witches are evil? Yes. Do we torture innocent children after falsely accusing them of witchcraft? No. Have we come a long way? Yes. Is my country better than any others? In some ways, yes. While we do have our issues, we don't have villages full of children that are scarred beyond belief, simply because we 'think' they might be witches or possessed by the devil.

And in the future, to prevent yourself from looking like a complete horse's ass (yet again)..please refrain from assuming what I think, feel, or believe. My views are very balanced..both global views and the views of my own country. And for you to assume that my views are unrealistic...well, you just prove (yet again) that old adage about what happens when people assume things.

Just like in America. We prosecute animal abusers, fines and/or jail time imposed.

 And while I do agree that there is a definite link between domestic abuse and animal abuse..is it fair to blanket a whole culture under the same cover? Abuse is prevalent in every culture, with both animal and human victims. But not every person in any culture is guilty of either offense. Let's not generalize, shall we? 

And I do have a question..what about Australia's exportation of sheep? Statistics show that they are mistreated to the umpth degree..with no fines or jail time. Any questions?
