What is the point to this thread. Does it give you all some kind of a thrill or an ego boost to be able to use the word "nigger". The bigger question is would any of you have the balls to use it to some big black dude like Shaquille O'Neal's face (who'd yank off your dick and feed it to you)? I doubt it somehow.

I call most people I know, their names and if I don't know them and want their attention, I yell out shrilly, "Yoo, hoo, yoo hoo," and when their heads shoot in my direction, and they are the one I want, I say, "Yes, you. Come 'ere," indicating by hand gesture as well. Or if I don't want them to come to me I say, "Yes you....did you know your fly is undone?"...

But yes, of course I would use the word nigger around anyone if it was appropriate to the conversation.

Look up the word "Nigger" in a dictionary.  Nowhere, in any dictionary, in any English speaking country is it a word used to denote blacks, just as the term cracker or redneck is not a word to denote whites.  It is solely used as a derogatory word...just in case you do not understand those "big words"; it means offensive, disparaging, expressive of a low opinion, .  But I guess you "intelligent and enlightened" people down under don't understand what the dictionary is used for either.

This is one of these dumb issues were the solutions advocated are worse than the disease.

Yea nigger is rude out of any discriptive context even in Australia and NZ, I can remember my old man turfing out a few nephews over from NZ because they call Maoris savages. Its not that difficult to work out its not a form of punctuation.

Then theres the blowhards who offer solutions. The sort that will censor whites and not blacks creating more double standards, racism and resentment, plus theres the totolitarian aspect of language/thought controll which suggests if, and if its a big if, this could be achieved the types advocating it would move on to more mundane words, like democracy, rights etc. Which validates the missuse of the word.

Best to ignore it and hope it goes away, leave it to the black community to deal with their oafs. Its not going to drift into history when politicised.
