Apparently, Rush Limbaugh has a problem with turning off his outdoor lights at night in accordance to a Palm Beach ordinance that is in place to help endangered sea turtles during the nesting and hatching season.

He uses the excuse of needing to protect his dog and cat from foxes that sometimes wander on his property. Keep the cat indoors, and walk the dog on a leash..simple solution! I have a 3 lb dog, and we have woods full of owls..do I let her walk at night alone, as potential owl bait? No. I take responsibility. And yes, I walk her in the dark, with no lights on.
He further says some bullshit about “Imagine if you were told all your street lights had to be off for 8 months to protect the mating habits of geckos and feral cats, or whatever animal.”
If geckos were endangered, you bet your sweet ass I'd turn off the lights, if that would help them.
