Topic: Major board upgrade completed (Read 2183 times)

Was a little hairy at the beginning but all is well now. Some of the mods and extra features like chess and arcade may not work for a while but the board should be otherwise navigable.

Kid and I will be working for the next few days on updating updating some mods and uninstalling the old ones that dont work anymore.

If you encounter anything strange in the course of trying to post, let us know here.

I know, i think it's some kind of a bird theme with the "tweets" but it's pretty cool for short notes. That reminds me, I should have posted a "tweet" about the board upgrade while the board was offline.

The main page resolution appears to be chunkier than it was (and chunkier than the other pages) i.e was 1080 x 760 (or whatever.. now 800 x 600dpi.

There is a problem right now with the youtube mod which causes an "unsupported compression error" and makes the forum index page inaccessible.

That can be temporarily fixed by either turning off the youtube mod or turning off the unrelated forum compression output which then makes the text appear big like you mentioned. We have always had the compression output turned on and never had a problem with it so for now Im leaving it on so the text appears normal and have turned the youtube mod off for the time being.

I have a note to the mod creator to see if there is a more stable version.

Do you think Twap would ever have been able to figure this out or would he have blamed me if FC were still up?

Chess is probably gone for good, I think the author has pretty much abandoned doing updates for the mod since SMF 1.1.8,,,we were lucky that it worked at all with SMF 2b4. I'll fuck with it later on today, but dont get your hopes up.

Actually, at first glance, it looks a bit lame..more of a solo play type thing, nothing where we could all get together and have a game..I'll dig deeper.

I would imagine having someone come in and refer to the Admin as Brainless might have something to do with the phone being off da'hook.

The Youtube mod is back up with an older version so all is good on that front. The creator of the mod is going to stop by later to have a look and see if he find out what the problem is with the most recent version since others have reported the same problem we had this morning.

Is anyone seeing double avatars? If so tell me whether it's in the PMs or board or both and what theme you are using.

Who do you think you are, Madonna? Stop acting like such a diva. We'll see what I can do but it's not a priority right now. The best thing would be for YOU to PM the person and politely ask them to delete the account since they will not be allowed to troll here with it. I like emmie better anyways.
