You may have already noticed that the board looks a little different today. That's because I installed a bunch of upgrades to it last night.

The arcade is back and functional with the old high scores and the old chess tab is gone. Hopefully some day they will release a new chess which is compatible with the board because the old one was fun. Guests can play games in the arcade too but cant save their high scores or make challenges. If you havent seen the arcade, check it out.

The awards for 100 post threads are also back.

You can now preview threads by holding the mouse over the link from any thread index page.

Profiles now have buttons in the sig section to make it easier to insert tags in sigs.

You can check to see if a PM was read by looking at the envelop status in the Sent PMs. You need to save the PM when you send it in order to see that.

There is a new countdown button next to the quote button above the reply box. Just hold the mouse over it and it will tell you how to use it when you want to countdown to something.

Profiles now have a space to type in your Twitter nic should you want it to show in your posts next to MSN, YIM, etc.

Finally, links to new threads in the main forum, news and spin room are now being auto posted on Twitter. Click to see..

Hey, my 'home' page and the 'unread since last visit' page are FUBAR, is this something to do with the upgrades?

What do you mean your "home page"? What's the link? I havent had any problems with any page or the unread posts since last visit link.

What theme are you using? Perhaps it could be related to that.

I tried changing themes, no coconut unfortunately.

By 'home' page I mean the index... All of the tabs are missing except Arcade and Gallery.

Also I can't logout and there's this message at the bottom of the screen about copyright not being displayed.

Maybe if somebody can log me out it might sort itself out.

Okay. That most likely means that your selected language isnt English. Go into your profile and check to be sure English is selected.

It's not in the look and layout page and I don't seem to have an account settings link in my profile. For that matter when I attempt to open my profile it takes me directly to my 'Awards' page for some reason.

Edit: I managed to logout using private browsing. Clearing cookies made no difference either...

???

You cant access the modify profile tab from the account settings? That does sound fubar. I'll check it for you in a few mins. It's likely the dreaded Russian language selection that changes all the templates only whoever created it did a half ass job in converting things.

Also, its showing you using midnight sun, which is what I'm using, and all looks good (except the new countdown button). However, this theme is probably gonna get shit-canned in the near future.

Ok, check now. Indeed Russian was selected as the language and i changed it to English.

Yeah I was using different themes looking for a way into my account settings page, I did find one in the end and checked the language which Br4in had already changed form me... :P

I clicked on profile and went in to a new set up page which enabled me to put a new secret question in

HOWEVER, now I can’t access the profile changes page beyond my name etc and some preferred settings. Also, the main page has lost the tabs at the top

Check out our new Facebookesque profiles. You can upload pics, add profile comments, media and other stupid shit. That should serve as a significant counterblow to the russian saboteurs.

You can now easily link topics to facebook, twitter, digg (whatever that is) and a few other social networking/ blogging sites with the buttons on top of the topic bar in the thread you are looking at.

I'd also like to adjust the displayed timestamps (I'm on the left coast, not the right coast!) and to shut off the "someone poasted while you were poasting, go re-check your poast" message

Also, you can turn off the reply warning by ticking the box "Don't warn on new replies made while posting" in the Look and Layout section of your preferences. The time can be adjusted in the same section. I'm in the Mountain time zone and have mine set @ -2 If your in Pacific, go to -3.

I guess I didn't look hard enough, duh. I only noticed the 3 drop-down choices when I click on Profile, didn't see the choices just below that.

It sounds like you have the ole Russian language subversive tactics enabled in your profile by our KGB monitors in Moscow. Check the preferred language in your profile setting if you can and make sure that English is selected. Anyone else who reads this and sees their profile is all messed up or a copyright missing notice on the bottom of the index page, the problem is likely that Russian is selected as your language.
