Actually, I'm pretty sure you remember the reason I kept changing accounts at FC, though if you want to pretend for convenience sake that I would magically forget my login details every time an account of mine reached 249 posts then that is your own affair.
That was a trick question which only you would answer like this. But I do recall that I did have to reset your pw a time or two at FC.
Be that as it may, I did have the account's password at this site cached in both Firefox and Internet Explorer... and both of those started returning invalid password messages at the same time. Re-entering the password I registered with (in this case the make and model of the PC I was posting from) also returned an incorrect password message. Knowing I had not changed the password since registration (I had in fact taken this board's mission statement as an article of faith which precluded the need for regular password changes) I presumed that the posts I was making were not being received well in some quarters. Perhaps they were interpreted as trolling, I have no idea.
Bottom line (and this I know you would know if you were to suspend your disbelief if I am the original cun`T or not), if a board I am a genuine bona fide patron of takes it into their heads to start disabling accounts, I generally tend not to force the issue via the wholesale introduction of alt accounts. I couldn't be fucked with the cookie cutter minuet of alts being outed via IP matches and quite frankly I doubt it would serve this board a great deal to enable that by my actions.
LOL... listen carefully to me... I would rather sign off the internet permanently than become one of those type of jackoff admins who surreptitiously fuck with people's accounts by changing a pw or editing a post or whatever (like someone did to me at BH years ago). That goes against everything that I stand for.
I saw that lying sack of shit Poofer mention out of the blue that I did something along those lines to him here so he couldnt sign in (and Im told he also said something about me spreading Orange's PI at FC which if true is just as preposterous). Last point, as I stated in that post a while back, I am for lack of a better word, an admirer of your unique posting style, the way you analyze and over-analyze things, and what you contribute in terms of substance to a board. Whether you're agreeing with me or not in some thread makes no difference and doesnt change anything. In fact, I much rather prefer that people disagree with me on whatever random point. Otherwise the discussions dont amount to much when everyone agrees. I have no problem publicly stating that you would be a welcome addition to this board as I have said about others who I feel the same way about.

I stopped using M$N and Yahoo (your preferred messenger client as I recall) some time after inviting you to see if you could assist Havok in getting Board Senseless back up and running, in spite of your protestations that vBulletin was an unknown quantity to you, being that your nuts and bolts experience with forum maintainence was pretty much SMF-centric. Nonetheless you went to take a look anyway and wound up surprising me with two names you happened to be working alongside of.
There's not too many people who would know those kinds of details so if its a marker you're looking for as to who I am then you assuredly ought to have it by now (IP range matching and accepted knowledge of my general locality notwithstanding). Honestly I don't see how it would matter who I was unless someone was planning to make a song and dance out of it and I tend to think you're better than that. Maybe I can sing a song for you... I mean if its really that much of a requirement and all.
Yes, only the real you would know those details. Im not asking you for a thumbprint scan or a song and dance; I just made a point about stating that i would double check things so that someone else doesnt get the idea that they can just come on here and have me reset the PW to a dormant account without verifying some things. This is icing on the '249' answer as far as Im concerned.
The truth is I am not fussed whether my account is reactivated here or not, though to be fair there have been some interesting threads here which might have received a few cursory interjections from yours truly in the interim and I've no doubt there will be more to come. In the balance, restoring access to the account ought to be a relatively simple affair. Do correct me if I am wrong here, but your access to the IP information of this guest account makes for an easy match against the account concerned since I have not changed my provider (which is limited to servicing two major Australian capitals at present), though I have changed my point of presence. And provided no-one blabs the name of the account concerned, you could practically post the temp password in open forum and only you and I would know to which user login it actually opened up.
Yes, your IP would be a vital piece to establish your identity had you not already stated some of the things above, not to mention the entirety of the style of this post which has your name written all over it. However, I still do not know which account it was that you used in order to even compare the IP now to it. And your current IP doesnt match anything to allow me to respond with a temp PW here.
Up to you my friend. Like I said, it doesn't make a great deal of difference to me either way, its not as if the restoring of the account is going to open the floodgates to 500 posts a month from this keyboard at any rate. Mind you though, you can expect my responses to carry on in much the same vein as they were when the account became inaccessible to me (for whatever reason it did) and that the underlying motivation for resumed posting would be congruent with this board's mission statement.

How can you or I communicate a PW which will allow you to sign in since you no longer use MSN or YIM? Is there someone posting here that you trust who can PM a temp PW to you at BH? I think Kid has an active account there, maybe he can contact you there. Or we can try something like changing it to the first 6 numbers of your current IP after you tell me the name of the account. Whatever you prefer.
