yeppers... hard to quit when it brings in between 500 and 1200USD a month depending on how hard I work... Christmas paid for, vacations paid for, and I'm coveting myself another lappy so I gotta keep working... I might have to go ubergeek with an Alienware to get the screen size and graphics I want (that is a plea to anyone who is knowledgable in the field to give me a holler?)

Hi MyWay, welcome to the fourm. What is it you do on SL if you dont mind me asking? For two years I've had a business plan to implement on SL with a friend but most of the times that we sign on and try, we get "distracted" and lose focus of the business purpose. Kind of like a drug dealer snorting all their own coke or smoking their supply of weed instead of selling it. I know there is good business potential there to tap into.

I still charge for pole dances Kiddo ;), but I haven't actually danced one, or made one, in two years... coolest damn thing, 2 years after I make an animation series I still make a coupla bucks a day from it

Heya BRA1N... in SL I animate and script for profit.... and build a little, but I'm not the vastly creative type so anytime I can avoid it, I do. I don't get way into marketing myself like a lot of those folks, 'cause my "to do" list already gets longer than my passion for irresponsibility and escapism are comfortable with... and a lot of those folks just take both lives WAY too seriously. I tend to make the goofy and eclectic things that come to mind after the words "Wouldn't it be cool if........."

If I skimmed this thread correctly you use 'Second Life' to deal weed and make $1200 a month and have awesome taste in computers (alienware).

I guess you're problem is probably framerates, the graphics are too slow right?

That's typical of laptops because they have shitty graphics cards. Try decreasing the screen resolution your game runs at or disabling anti-aliasing if possible. These are the two things that typically improve the frame rate of any game.

Other than that, buy a desktop with a dedicated graphics and sound card is my advice.

I'm really thinking of that alienware with two of the latest nvidea graphics cards.... but the 18 inch screen of the latest HP is tempting too... *sigh*( so many beautiful options when the money is all play money
