I havent got the words to describe how good it is and I'm not in the slightest bit embarrassed that I cleared my diary for the entire week to play and complete it

I haven’t played it yet. I will do soon though. It’s got good reviews but it’s even shorter than the first one and doesn’t have the change of pace that Modern warfare did

Without the diversions of the ghillie suit or “death from above” I fear that I will be too critical of some of the slight shortcomings of the original. Endless respawning enemies for instance
I really enjoyed it though.

However, I haven’t played the new one it yet and am looking forward to it
A lot of people just play it for the Multiplayer. I would love to give it a go, but I hate being a “noob” in a new game.

It is good though that a major game is getting as much press coverage as a Hollywood blockbuster. Maybe people are beginning to realise that gaming is just a valid an art from as movies?

You fags have MW2 for Xbox360? I'm pretty bad at the game still cause I never really played the first MW. Was always more of a Halo guy, but I'd be down for some games if anyone wants to play. I use the same handle on Live as I do on here.

Yeah, the single player aint that long, fucking good though, so good that I went out and got COD4 and to be honest I think its even better than MW2...the battles are bigger, more street fighting and a whole load more sniping opportunities plus the fucker only cost a tenner

It was a gift from my mother for Christmas. We asked for a Blu-Ray player, and we got a PS3 (which does have a Blu-Ray player.. does the X-box?)   Besides, the PS3 online play is free.

Homeland Defense (special ops) is kicking my ass, I think I've spent almost 2 hours trying to get through this one.   

Pointers?

Dump the M1911 pistol and equip the M14 EBR, the one with the infra red scope

Pick up the claymores and set up the gun turret on the road just outside the pumping area so that it can sweep where the mofo's come from

Retire to where the car vacs are and kill the first wave picking off loads at distance with the infra red and finishing the ones that get close with the assault rifle

Set up a claymore defensive line at the back of the diner...whack the sentry gun out front and a claymore or two at the front door.

Then its just a matter of surviving 4 more waves whilst having to down helicopters and being targeted by predator missiles 

I've only ever been able to do it online co-op and thats only on regular

Thats almost exactly what I'm doing. Have no probs surviving 3 waves, and have gotten through 4 once or twice...but man. I'm about ready to break out that bazooka-looking thing next to the second turret.

That mission aint happening without a partner kid...you have fuck all chance of busting out the Stinger missile without getting shot to fuck without a wing man to cover you...Spec Ops is pretty much geared up for two players

I've got it on PS3...it's my favorite game.

I have completed the campaign on the easiest level and have just restarted it on the next level up. I am gradually getting better on the multiplayer with more kills and less death. I am liking the SCAR-H rifle with grenade attachment at the moment.

Christopher and my nephews got this game...and guess who they suckered in to playing  with them? fuck me. I strongly suspect that they only play with me to get their stats up..I can't shoot for shit, but once in a while, I get lucky. It's a fun game, but seeing them go online, and the guys they go up against...screw that..I wouldn't last 3 seconds. I do okay when it's one on one with my one nephew, but that's because he pities me and tries to actually help me improve..whereas my other nephew and christopher just shoot me with that heat-detecting sniper gun thing that can blow my ass up from the far side of the map.

they also have halo...i'd feel reeeeeeeeeeeeeally stupid if that's the game i'm talking about..but I'm pretty sure it's the warfare one that they get me to play..with the Brazilian village with the chickens? and the airport terminal?

Going through the campaign and special ops is good practise and better equips you for multiplayer. It teaches you the game and the computer is a lot more forgiving than human opponents. I was pretty much multiplayer based on Halo 3 when I had an Xbox 360...but with this game I have been spending a lot more time in campaign and special ops than online. Familiarising yourself with weapons and trying new combinations when creating a class for multiplayer is also a good thing to do.

Its something like 32 or 33, the average gamer age.  Also most people have absolutely no idea how massive the industry is and how cutting edge it is, in many ways it pisses all over the film industry, especially the budgets.  Someone summed up how it flys over most peoples heads by equating them to still having fellas with the red flags walking in front of their cars

I recently picked up this horse racing game on ebay for like 5 bucks (Gallop Racer for PS2) and I cant tell you all how much fun ive had playing it and trying to figure shit out. Not only do you get to buy, care for and race your own stable of horses and bet on races but you can also breed them! Good stuff. Sure beats the hell out of Pong.

Everything is dumbed down at thee moment because of the controller restrictions for consoles, and also because of the IQ of the average console owner. The day of being genuinely stumped by a puzzle in a video game is sadly gone.
Now its all shiny graphics, and an endless stream of God of war clones, or first person shooters which if they had stayed on PC would have been longer, more detailed and more satisfying

7 hours to complete a game? I took seven hours once to work out how to open a door in Tomb raider   

Anyway, rant over. Gaming is great, even you oldies can enjoy it
