Clickity-click-click-click for story

A message to the CEO's, and board members of the auto industry, courtesy of thekid65

I guess 25 billion wasnt enough. Another 10 billion or so is necessary from the American taxpayer to make up for years of mismanagement, overpaid workers, overpaid CEO's, and general failure to develop the type of automobile that a lot of the American public needs.

Fuck that. And a hearty Hi-Ho-Fuck-You to the members that sit on the boards of these companies.

Why dont you feel the pain of a lot of small business owners these days who have to sell their assets, and personal luxury items, in order to make payroll. Each one of you cock-sucking motherfuckers have got to be worth hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars, with your stock options, salary, bonuses and current luxury items. Sell off your fucking assets, and take a 75% cut in personal pay (I'm sure you could manage on a half million a year,eh?). Give that shit right back to your company. This is what the real business owner is having to do these days.

Next.....tell the UAW to take fucking hike (when they squawk, replace them with the 1000's of autoworkers that are currently unemployed..for 3/4 of the salary you're paying the UAW's now).

Take what you save, and invest in developing a car that appeals to Americans, and gets 100 mpg. Or better yet...one that doesnt rely on gasoline at all. You can do it, I know you can. We have the technolgy to see a fly on a pigs ass from 20,000 ft in the air....and yet, you've relied on the same technology developed in the 19th century to sell your product.

Unfortunately, and as you know.... you have America by the fucking balls, as so many industries depend on your success...so you'll probably get what you ask for. Makes me fucking sick, it really does.

One more thing...

Dont you fucking ever get on that fucking company owned private plane while your company is still in debt to the American people.. I mean fucking ever.

I have never understood why the US Government would bail out these companies and leave the incompetent cunts that fucked up in the positions of power.

Sure bail them out and save jobs but sack every wanker above a line manager for being such a hopeless cunt in the first place

Great post Kid...

The only problem is that we the people have no real power or voice, and more than likely they will get more money.  It would be a great day to see millions walking the White House steps and demanding a DIFFERENT resolution than money.

I thought the timing was a bit odd on their original bailout requests.  Washington was doling out huge sums to the financial industry and suddenly the pipe up with - "Hey, we need billions too!!!"  Just too coincidental.

$10 billion more?  I'd be inclined to answer - fuckyou!  It seems time to let them go bankrupt and reorganize as significantly different companies.  If the government is even considering $10 billion more, that cash should go to the pure electric or hybrid ventures within the U.S. that the Big 3 have been trying to crush for years.  The technology for fuel efficiency has been there for quite some time - invest in that!

Personally, I think one of the "big 3" needs to be allowed to fail. It might just open up the other 2's eyes.

While the new Prez and gov't leaders are indeed doing so, this does stem back decades.  It's not like we as Americans didn't see this crap coming.  We keep spending and spending, debt keeps growing and growing.  We are now at the point of just flat out making up imaginary money and handing it out like gov't cheese.

And the really sad thing is...

It's like we are so expectant of this crap, have accepted it for so long, that it doesn't even phase us anymore.  It's like, oh well back to the American Idol show, or Survivor...

This would be awesome really, except that the oil companies and lobbyists in their pockets, not to mention all the rich and powerful people in other related industries who get mad money for keeping OIL on top wouldn't want that.

But then again, when has it really ever been about the people and not the super rich and those in power.

GM could damn well produce the hydrogen powered vehicles right now, and have been able to for probably about 20 years.  BUT......they need the infrastructure to be able to do it.  How about instead of a fucking $10 B handout, we put the $$$ into the support needed for hydrogen powered vehicles?

Think Chrysler and Ford would follow suit if we did that?

Hell...fucking Hung Choy Wagga Wagga Cuntfuck Motors would join in!

Giving cash to the auto companies goes against the "create jobs" theme of the Stimulus pkg.  They're talking about cutting thousands of jobs even with the money they're getting now.  When you think about it, GM and Chrysler are getting about 12 billion each!  If that ain't enough to save them, they aren't worth saving.

The thing about the auto companies and mainly the unions, is that they arent thinking about having to drastically change things to survive. They are thinking about asking for money so that they can continue most of their daily operations as usual under the same wages, benefits and retirement plans as always.

That's a big part of what put them in a competitive disadvantage to begin with. They cant continue to pay employees a combined $75/hr average wage and benefits for doing what a robot can do in an assembly line. The union refuses to cut their wages and benefits and wants to be subsidized at the present inflated collective bargaining levels by the government.

Fuck them. If they arent willing to take a cut then let them all lose their jobs.

The UAW.... and all unions... time has passed, IMO. Most companies arent out to fuck the workers nowadays, which was the basis for the formation of unions back in the depression days.

True.  My dad worked in the auto plant for 44 years and saw the union from the beginning, and he says they have far outlived their original purpose of protecting the workers from exploitation.  Their main function seems to be protecting the worthless fucks from being fired.  I knew a guy who was a master electrician at one plant and he had a room in which he would nap, since he was only called out when there was a major electrical problem. He thought it was funny.  His plant closed.

Dana Corporation: A major manufacturer of heavy duty differentials and truck frames.  Company's back broken by unyielding union....result....plants closed and all employees out of jobs.

Caterpillar:  Each individual plant has its own union contract.  York Pennsylvania plant: Union unyielding in its demands...result...15 years later although not officially closed, the plant remains idle with no agreement reached and all employees effectively out of work.

J.E. Morgan Knitting Mills:  The largest manufacturer of thermal undergarments.   Union demands outrageous contract...result...Fuck you, we're moving to Honduras.  Want your job?  Move with us.

3 modern examples of unions doing just the opposite of their intended purpose which is to protect employees and their positions.

This is the point i was refering to AZ about Communism or any other "plan" when it's on paper or in the thinking stage.  They look great, they feel great, and usually the people trying to plan them or think of these ideas(like unions)have a good agenda or are thinking about their fellow man.

Add humans to the mix...

Then comes the greed, the power, the need to take more and more...

You can just look at the Unions as a clear cut example, what started out as a way for the common worker to protect his job, and make a fair and good wage, turned into all out greed.

Example:

When I for Maersk, I was doing International rates and tariff with contracted and non contracted shippers, and I was making ok money, about 45 a year after taxes(back in 97), the exact same worker in my company at the LGB Terminal(union, due to the location at the port, and the UP rail)made the following doing the exact same job:

115,000 a year

Not to mention that dealing with the union terminal within our own company sucked.  As a co worker, i could not get information i required because even tho I was working in the same company I was not union.  The Union did not allow information pertinent to the shipments we tracked out of the Terminal unless we payed for it.  We had to wait (days usually)for said shipment to actually make it onto the UP rail so I could see where it was.

It was almost impossible to get someone on the phone also, there was no fear of losing their jobs, as the Union had the company by the balls, and there were days in a row that would pass without any contact with a live person, they just wouldn't answer the phones.

Dealing with the Unions sucked ass...

The Unions are not hardballers, they want to make sure that the workers who made those fuckers rich are taken care of.  That is something that is never said when the anti-Union people talk about Unions that won't negotiate, they never seem to see the background and the people who built the company.

My thoughts on the companies that want to bust unions and move to 3rd world countries, make them pay excise taxes to bring their shit back into the US.  These companies employ cheap labor, but do they bring down their prices...fuck no, they still maintain the same prices, yet pay less in labor.  So LK, who are they serving..is it themselves and their greed, or the public?
